The initial phase of our branding initiative for Carlotta Laurent Interiors focused on a thorough research and discovery process, aimed at understanding the distinctive qualities that could differentiate this brand in Chicago’s interior design market. We conducted an extensive analysis of the local design landscape, scrutinizing competitors and potential clients to pinpoint market gaps and opportunities. This involved examining current design trends, client preferences, and lifestyle characteristics of the upscale neighborhoods targeted by the brand. Visual Identity Creation
Articulated through a color scheme of warm blues and off-white, we established a visual identity that embodies sophistication and warmth. This palette, carefully chosen to align with the brand’s core values, provides a distinct visual appeal. The wordmark, utilizing an uppercase, condensed, serif typeface, embodies elegance and strength. Extending this visual identity to stationery, we selected premium, heavy cotton paper, enhancing the tactile experience associated with Carlotta’s brand. Innovative Project Cards
A standout feature of our visual identity development was the creation of innovative project cards, designed to offer flexibility and personalization in client consultations. Tailored to suit the unique demands of a one-woman design studio, these cards are designed with a customizable front for attaching visual references and photographs, directly linking design concepts with tangible examples. On the reverse, detailed information helps clients grasp various design directions, facilitating a deeper understanding of potential aesthetics. This approach allows for swift, bespoke updates for each client meeting, eliminating the need for extensive reprints and enabling Carlotta to offer personalized, insightful consultations with ease.
